For H-1B transfers and layoffs

Laid off on H-1B? Put your 60 days into interviews.

After an H-1B job ends you have up to 60 days, or until your I-94 ends if that comes first, for a new employer to file for you. We apply to jobs for you on employer career sites, and a team of people sets up and watches your search. Still employed and planning a transfer? Same search, less hurry.

  • Postings that say they will not sponsor are skipped
  • Applications on Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby and others
  • From $500, paid once

Standard $500 for 3 months · Premium $750 for 6 months. One-time payment, nothing renews.

The 60-day grace period

Up to 60 days, and the I-94 can cut it short.

The discretionary grace period starts the day after your last day of employment, usually the last day you are paid. It lasts up to 60 days or until your I-94 ends, whichever is shorter. By its end, a new employer has filed an H-1B petition for you, you have filed to change status, or you leave. DHS proposed removing the grace period on September 11, 2026; the current rule still applies unless a final rule takes effect.

  • 60 days at most

Counted in calendar days from the day after your last day of employment.

  • I-94 can end it first

If your I-94 ends before day 60, the grace period ends with it.

  • Day 1 of a new job

With H-1B portability you can start once USCIS receives the new employer's petition.

How an H-1B search runs

People set it up. Software sends it.

  1. A person sets up your search

Someone on our team builds your search from your resume: the roles, the locations, the seniority, and the companies you want left out.

  2. We check what goes out

The team checks your resume and your answers to screening questions, like whether you are authorized to work in the US and whether you will need sponsorship.

  3. Software applies on career sites

Applications are submitted on employers' own career sites: Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby and others. There is no cap on how many.

  4. We watch and we reply

The team watches the submissions as they go out and replies when you write to us. The interviews are yours.

What your search does with H-1B

  • Postings that say they will not sponsor a visa are skipped, and so are postings that require US citizenship or a security clearance.
  • Postings that say nothing about sponsorship stay in. We do not keep a list of employers that sponsor, so some employers we apply to may not file a petition.
  • Screening questions about sponsorship and work authorization get the answers you set, and the team checks them before applications go out.

FAQ

Straight answers.

Do you only apply to companies that sponsor H-1B?

We skip postings that say they will not sponsor, or that require US citizenship. We do not keep a list of employers that sponsor, so postings that say nothing about sponsorship stay in your search, and some of those employers may not file a petition.

I was laid off. When does my 60-day clock start?

The day after your last day of employment, which USCIS ties to the last day you are paid. It ends after 60 days or on your I-94 end date, whichever comes first. The grace period calculator gives you the dates.

Can I start the new job before the petition is approved?

If you are eligible for H-1B portability, yes: you can start working for the new employer once USCIS receives its nonfrivolous H-1B petition. Confirm it with the employer's immigration attorney.

Is the 60-day grace period going away?

DHS proposed removing it on September 11, 2026, with comments open until November 10, 2026. The discretionary grace period remains available under the current rule unless a final rule takes effect.

How many applications will you send?

There is no cap. How many go out depends on how many open postings match your roles, locations and seniority, so we do not promise a number. You see every application we send.

Which employers do you apply to?

Employers hiring in the United States on their own career sites: Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby and others. You can name companies to leave out, such as your current or last employer, and staffing agencies can be left out too.

What do I do, and what do you do?

We set up your search, check your resume and screening answers, submit the applications and watch them, and reply when you write to us.

You keep track of your dates, work with the new employer and its attorney on the petition, and go to the interviews.

What does it cost?

Standard is $500 for 3 months of applications. Premium is $750 for 6 months, plus a resume and LinkedIn rewrite. Both are one payment, with no subscription.

Premium can also be paid in installments: $275 today, $375 in month 2 and $375 in month 4. See pricing.
