Will AI Replace Me?
Score your job's AI resistance across 4 dimensions — takes under 2 minutes.
How This AI Risk Quiz Works
This quiz is based on the AI Resistance Score framework, which evaluates jobs across four dimensions that predict how resistant a role is to AI automation. Each dimension is scored on a 0–25 scale, producing a composite score from 0 to 100. The framework draws on research from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, McKinsey Global Institute, and World Economic Forum automation exposure analyses.
- Physical Presence (0–25) — does the job require being physically present? Hands-on trades, healthcare, and emergency response score high.
- Human Relationship (0–25) — does the job depend on trust, empathy, and rapport? Therapy, sales leadership, and executive coaching score high.
- Creative Judgment (0–25) — does the job require novel decision-making in ambiguous situations? Strategy, design, and crisis management score high.
- Ethical Accountability (0–25) — does the job carry personal legal or ethical liability? Medicine, law, and aviation score high.
Jobs that score high across multiple dimensions — such as surgeons (physical + ethical), therapists (relationship + judgment), or trial lawyers (accountability + judgment) — are the most resistant to AI automation. Jobs that score low across all four — such as data entry, basic content generation, or routine financial analysis — are the most vulnerable.
What Your Score Means
- 85–100 (AI-Proof) — your role has strong natural defenses against AI. Focus on using AI as a tool to amplify your work.
- 65–84 (High Resistance) — most of your role is protected, but some tasks will be automated. Lean into your human skills.
- 40–64 (Moderate Risk) — significant portions of your role are vulnerable. Start upskilling toward the human-intensive parts of your work.
- 0–39 (High Risk) — your role is highly vulnerable to AI automation. Consider pivoting to an adjacent role with higher AI resistance.
