Jobright AI Review 2026: Is It Legit? Pricing & Reddit

Short answer

Jobright AI review: Turbo was reported at $39.99/mo in August 2026. Compare Reddit experiences, ratings, refund conditions and Agent limits before paying.

In December 2025, a paying Jobright user reported on Reddit that the Agent answered an application question with a team project that "was recognized at a national conference."

According to their post, neither leading a team nor attending that conference appeared in their profile. That is one user's account, not an independently verified test.

Other users praise Jobright for saving time and finding relevant openings. Before a tool writes in your name, how much of its promise should you trust?

How this review was done

No plan was bought or tested. Sources include public documentation, two August 2026 in-app reports, ratings checked October 9, selected positive Trustpilot reviews, 20 recent low ratings, G2's single review and 12 Reddit threads. Reddit quotes were checked through Arctic Shift because Reddit blocked fetching. This is a qualitative review, not a representative survey. The publisher sells a competing job-search service.

The verdict: legit, and worth trying free

The practical question is whether Jobright saves enough work to justify a subscription.

The free plan is worth trying for US job discovery and matching. The paid tier may help frequent applicants who exhaust daily credits. Matching and alerts receive praise across several sources; resume accuracy and automated application coverage receive mixed reports.

Best for: candidates targeting US-based jobs who want matching, alerts and less typing, and will review application materials. Tech and early-career applicants appear often in the cited discussions. International candidates targeting US roles can also use its H-1B filter.
Skip it if: you need jobs located outside the US, require fully hands-off applying, or will not proofread AI output. Candidates abroad can still use it to target US roles.
Key Takeaway

Jobright is a legitimate job-search copilot. Start free, check whether its matches suit your search, and verify Agent access before buying automation.

Jobright AI features and Chrome extension

Jobright's homepage promises you can "Apply to hundreds of jobs daily across all major ATS platforms." That is a company promise, not a verified daily application rate. Several tools share one account.

It started as a job search copilot. TechCrunch covered it in June 2024, when it had about 50,000 registered users and an H-1B filter built on USCIS employer data. In June 2025 it launched the Jobright Agent and raised $3.2 million. In October 2026 its homepage claims 3,000,000 users, 8,000,000+ total jobs and 400,000+ new jobs a day. Those are company figures, not audited ones.

Feature limits and add-on prices are dated reports from FavTutor (August 21, 2026) and Jobity (August 31, 2026). The match-score method comes from Jobright's App Store listing. The H-1B data source comes from TechCrunch.

Key Takeaway

Try free matching first. Verify current allowances before upgrading to remove daily caps.

The Jobright Agent: how much of it is auto-apply?

The Agent page promises tailored resumes, filled forms and tracked submissions from one click. Its button says "Unlock Auto-Apply." Access and supported sites matter as much as that promise.

Key Takeaway

Before paying for auto-apply, confirm Agent access, supported sites and approval controls. Manual handoffs remain possible.

Jobright pricing 2026: Free vs Turbo

Public price claims conflict. The checkout screen is the one that matters.

jobright.ai/pricing returned a 404 on October 9, 2026, and the homepage's Pricing link goes to employer pricing. No authoritative public job-seeker price list was verified. The table uses FavTutor's August 21, 2026 report and Jobity's August 31, 2026 report. Jobity builds a competing tool. These reports agree on weekly and monthly prices and differ by one cent on quarterly pricing. October checkout prices may differ.
PlanPrice reported August 2026Cost comparison

Turbo Weekly$17.99 per week$71.96 per 4 weeks
Turbo Monthly$39.99 per month$39.99 per month

Turbo 6-MonthNamed in the Refund Policy; price unverifiedUnknown

Jobity reported reference prices of $49.99 monthly and $149.97 quarterly, and no annual option on its account. Other offers may exist. Four weeks is not a calendar month.

The JobCopilot review was published August 5, 2025 and also comes from a competing tool; The Register reported the 2025 starting price. One April 2026 Trustpilot reviewer says the quarterly plan rose from $69.99 to $89.99 at checkout.

Live career coachNoListed as included, but Jobity also saw per-session charges; confirm entitlement

Jobity reports that daily credits reset at midnight and do not roll over. FavTutor reports five saved resume slots even on Turbo, so unlimited generation should not be read as unlimited storage. Jobity also found separate coaching-session charges despite coaching being listed as included; confirm the exact benefit before paying for it.

Students: ask for the .edu price
In a June 2025 Reddit AMA, Jobright's founder wrote: "When you sign up with your .edu email, you get Turbo for half the price." That was 2025 pricing; check the student option at checkout before you pay the full rate. Read the AMA thread.
Key Takeaway

Confirm today's charge and benefits at checkout. Weekly plans have a shorter refund request window than monthly plans.

Refunds and cancellation: the exact rules

A refund request window is not a money-back guarantee. The Refund and Cancellation Policy, updated July 29, 2026 and checked October 9, sets these rules:
SituationWhat Jobright's policy says
First Monthly, Quarterly or 6-Month purchaseMay request a full refund within 7 calendar days; usage and other eligibility limits apply
First Weekly purchaseMay request a full refund within 24 hours; the same eligibility limits apply
Renewal you did not mean to keepContact Jobright within 3 calendar days of the renewal charge; full refund possible if you made no substantial use of Turbo since
Later in a Monthly, Quarterly or 6-Month termProrated refund at Jobright's discretion if a meaningful part of the term is left; Weekly plans generally do not qualify
No interviews, or subjective dissatisfaction aloneGenerally not refunded when AI content was successfully delivered
Bought through an app storeThat store's refund rules apply
Duplicate charge, wrong amount, long outage of paid featuresReviewed; remedy can be a refund, credit or extension
First-purchase eligibility can be limited by substantial Turbo use, a consumed coaching session or individually delivered benefit, previous refunds, or misuse. The Terms of Service, also updated July 29, add automatic renewal and cancellation rules. Stronger non-waivable consumer rights still apply.
Jobright subscription terms
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel
  • Cancelling stops future renewals and normally takes effect at the end of the paid period; it does not refund a charge already made
Cancel Jobright without a surprise charge
0/6
Key Takeaway

Cancellation prevents future renewal charges; requesting a refund is separate. Make the request promptly, but check usage exclusions even inside the initial 7-day or 24-hour window.

Jobright reviews: Trustpilot, Chrome Web Store, App Store and G2

A 4.8 on Trustpilot looks like the end of the conversation. It is the start of one.

G25.0 / 51 reviewOct 9, 2026Too small a sample for a reliable aggregate verdict
BBBNo matching profile verifiedNot applicableOct 9, 2026Search returns a similarly named JobRight / Candidate Point linked to jobright.com
Sources: Trustpilot, Chrome Web Store, App Store, G2, BBB search.

How to read the ratings

Positive Trustpilot reviews praise relevant matches, free tools, tailoring and time savings; some report interviews. The score measures sentiment, not placement.

Invitations and a paid Trustpilot subscription do not establish bought or manipulated reviews. Invited reviews include criticism as well as praise. Review timing and job-search outcomes for the full sample are unknown.

G2's sole reviewer, dated March 18, 2026, praises relevant matches, missing-keyword guidance and alumni contacts, but says some generated resumes seem little different from the original. G2 itself says there are too few reviews for buying insight.

The similarly named BBB profile identifies Candidate Point and jobright.com. It is not a verified profile for Jobright Inc. at jobright.ai; no matching profile was identified in the search checked here.

What the one- and two-star reviews say

The 20 recent one- and two-star reviews checked here include these complaints. This deliberately negative sample cannot estimate how common the problems are:

  • Autofill and auto-apply that fail. One reviewer reports about 3.5% of "auto-fillable" jobs actually autofilling, without supplying a sample size or method (Oct 1, 2026); another says auto-apply found jobs but applications often did not complete (Aug 9, 2026).
  • No interviews. Several reviewers report no callbacks; Jobright's replies say employer responses are outside its control (Jun 30, 2026).
  • Price and paywalls. Complaints that plans are expensive (Sep 20, 2026) and that the free plan allows only two resume tweaks (Jul 25, 2026).
  • Unwanted job emails. Software engineering alerts sent to someone who says the title did not match their background and asked for the emails to stop (Sep 16, 2026). Jobright apologized for the missed support response and offered to adjust or stop the alerts.
  • The employer side. One self-described hiring manager thought resumes looked repetitive and possibly fabricated (Sep 2, 2026). That perception does not verify fabrication or establish employer consensus. Jobright acknowledged the concern about repetitive output and offered to investigate.
Key Takeaway

Ratings are strongly positive overall. The complaint sample identifies issues to check, not their frequency or an interview conversion rate.

Reddit adds detailed experiences, but its posters also select themselves and may have commercial interests.

Jobright on Reddit: what users actually say

The 12 cited threads span six communities. In r/jobright, u/jobrightai replies with the company's support address; ownership and moderation were not verified. Other forums also contain founder posts and rival-tool pitches. Read detailed accounts critically wherever they appear.

What Reddit praises

Speed to new listings is the theme that keeps coming back.

"The benefit of Jobright is that it gets newly posted jobs to you right away, so you have an opportunity to apply before it gets 100+ applicants"

That is from a January 6, 2026 comment in r/CodingJobs. One r/csMajors commenter valued matches suited to their experience:

"I think the job board part of the website is actually really helpful and helps find more jobs that align with my current experience compared to just having to sort through hundreds of listings on LinkedIn."

That is from a July 24, 2025 comment in r/csMajors. In another r/csMajors thread, one user wrote: "I’ve had a way better interview rate using it than I have any of the other job boards, take that for what you will".
A product manager credits Jobright alerts plus Claude for more than 12 interview loops in two weeks and a new offer in a March 2026 r/jobsearchhacks post. They used Jobright alerts and a separate AI for tailoring. Some replies call it an ad; the author denies affiliation. Neither suspicion nor hiring result was independently verified. Another commenter also reports accepting an offer.

What Reddit criticizes

Jobright's listings on LinkedIn. Several complaints concern the listings rather than the app. Users describe seeing other employers' vacancies displayed under Jobright's name on LinkedIn:

"It’s so annoying seeing Jobright posts in the jobs on the LinkedIn section. It’s intrusive and it’s not a role for that company, just trying to funnel you into using their service/ website."

That post in r/csMajors describes that frustration. A September 2026 thread asked whether these were fake postings; commenters who clicked "apply" said it led to the real employer's listing (r/csMajors).
The AI resume and its score. One user says: "It’s only good for getting new listings. Don’t apply through them. Their customized resume for a specific listing is horrible." (August 12, 2025 comment in r/csMajors). Another ran Jobright's AI-tailored resume back through its own checker from a new account and watched a 9.0 match score fall back to 4.0 (r/jobright, June 2026; Jobright replied asking for details by email).
Autofill that needs babysitting. "I have to proofread it all the time because it gets the autofill questions wrong all the time. It does save me time in the end" (r/jobsearchhacks, March 2026).
The Agent. Paying users report a waitlist (August 2025) and invented answers (December 2025). Those are dated accounts, not proof of today's access or error rate.
Results. "I tried it for 4 months. I got one interview from nearly 100 applications." (July 20, 2026 comment in r/cscareeradvice). That user also says many matches were outside their field. Outcomes cannot be attributed to the tool alone.
Hide Jobright's listings in LinkedIn search
Reddit users suggest adding NOT "Jobright" to a job-search query. Results can vary, and this is keyword exclusion, not a documented employer block. LinkedIn documents uppercase NOT and quoted phrases in its main search bar; it explicitly says the minus operator is not officially supported: Use Boolean search on LinkedIn.
Key Takeaway

Reddit describes both useful discovery and disappointing outcomes. Treat these as anecdotes, not proof of a universal success or failure rate.

Is Jobright legit? A 5-point check

Written policies alone cannot prove legitimacy. Check identity, funding, the transaction and the employer separately.

  1. Identity: Jobright's terms identify Jobright Inc. as Delaware-registered, with a Santa Clara mailing address.
  2. Funding: TechCrunch reported a $4.5 million round led by Lanchi Venture. The Register reported $3.2 million in June 2025, led by Translink Capital with Indeed's venture affiliate participating.
  3. Transaction: Turbo buys software, not a promised job. The FTC warns that honest employers never charge candidates to get hired.
  4. Vacancies: Commenters found employer postings behind questioned listings, while others report stale roles. Verify each vacancy on the employer's career page.
  5. Billing: Published policies describe renewals and refunds. Confirm the actual checkout charge and cancellation route.
Key Takeaway

The public record supports an identifiable, venture-backed product. It does not authenticate every vacancy or guarantee a successful search.

Legit is a low bar. Safe is a higher one.

Is Jobright safe? Three risks to check first

Legitimacy is not a security audit. These checks address platform rules, accuracy and data handling; they cannot guarantee safety.

1. LinkedIn's rules on automation

LinkedIn's User Agreement (effective November 3, 2025), section 8.2, bans software, scripts, robots, crawlers and "browser plugins and add-ons" that scrape the service (item 2), and bans using "bots or other unauthorized automated methods to access the Services," including to send messages or add contacts (item 13). These are contractual restrictions, not a finding that every Jobright feature violates them.

Filling a Workday or Greenhouse form on an employer's site is not LinkedIn activity. Automation inside LinkedIn can engage those restrictions. Use contacts and templates within LinkedIn’s rules, and avoid automated messages or connection requests. No evidence checked here establishes that installing Jobright alone causes an account restriction.

2. The quality of what goes out under your name

High volume magnifies unchecked errors. Alongside the December Reddit account, Jobity's August 2026 test shows Go added to a resume that did not list it. Jobity says most edits were legitimate. Two examples do not establish a failure rate; they do justify checking factual accuracy and fit.
Mistakes that turn AI help into a liability
  • Submitting an AI-tailored resume without comparing it line by line to your original
  • Letting autofill answer screening and custom questions you never read
  • Applying to every high match score at once, including roles you would not take
  • Chasing a 9 out of 10 match score instead of making true experience easy to see

3. Your data

Jobright's Privacy Policy, updated June 15, 2026, lists resume and contact data, cookies and pixels. Inputs, outputs and personal information are processed by AI providers including OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Cloud AI and AWS AI. Other recipients include employers, service providers and advertising partners.
The policy's no-sale/share statement for the preceding 12 months should not be read as no disclosure: the same policy describes third-party disclosures and advertising tracking. It states retention up to six months after account termination for listed purposes, except where law permits or requires longer. Access or deletion requests go to contact@jobright.ai or legal@jobright.ai, subject to applicable rights and verification.

For connected Gmail accounts, the policy limits access to ATS verification-code emails, prohibits advertising or model-training use of Gmail data, and says encrypted OAuth tokens are deleted on disconnection. These are policy commitments, not audited behavior.

The extension listing declares personal information, user activity and website content. The App Store privacy label lists Other Data for tracking; developer labels are not independent security audits.
Before you upload your resume to any AI job tool

Key Takeaway

Proofread output and assess data permissions. These precautions reduce exposure; they do not certify security.

Who should use Jobright (and who should skip it)

Pros
  • Real free plan with daily credits, not a trial
  • Match scores and alerts praised across several cited discussions
  • H-1B sponsor filter built on USCIS employer data
  • Published refund policy with first-purchase request windows and eligibility conditions
Cons
  • No authoritative public job-seeker price list verified; August reports list $39.99 monthly
  • Agent access and site coverage varied in the cited tests and reports
  • Reports of invented answers and skills in AI output
  • Users complain about Jobright-branded listings in LinkedIn search
Use it for US job discovery and less typing. Skip Turbo when its paid features cannot be verified or its recurring cost is hard to justify.

Jobright alternatives

Before you compare brands, decide which job you are hiring a tool for. Each category below solves a different bottleneck.

How to use Jobright without wasting money

Try the free plan with a specific workflow before buying the subscription.

Step 01: Spend one week on the free plan

Upload your resume, set one saved filter and turn on the daily alert. Record how often the reported daily limits interrupt useful applications. Upgrade for a measurable bottleneck, not an assumed interview boost.

Step 02: Apply early, and only to strong matches

In a June 2025 AMA, Jobright's founder described a user who got 4 interviews from 30 applications in one week by applying only above a 75% match, applying right after instant alerts, and messaging suggested connections after applying. That is a founder-reported anecdote, not a verified benchmark. Use the idea of timely, relevant applications without treating a 75% score as a proven threshold.

Step 03: Fact-check every tailored resume

Run the prompt below in any AI assistant before you upload a Jobright resume. Use its output as a second check, then inspect the differences yourself; another AI can also miss or invent details.

Check an AI-tailored resume for invented claims
I will paste two resumes. RESUME A is my original. RESUME B is an AI-tailored version for the job description below.

List every skill, tool, number, title, award, project or responsibility that appears in RESUME B but is not supported by RESUME A. For each one, say whether to delete it or rewrite it using only facts from RESUME A, and give the rewritten line.

Then list the 3 most important requirements in the job description that RESUME A does support, and show where RESUME B could state them more clearly without adding anything new.

RESUME A:
[paste original]

RESUME B:
[paste tailored version]

JOB DESCRIPTION:
[paste job description]

Step 04: Read every autofilled field before you click submit

Check contact details, custom answers, work authorization, salary and dates. Correct anything unsupported by your profile, and confirm the application completed.

Step 05: Buy one month, then decide

If upgrading is justified, a monthly term limits the upfront commitment. Save the checkout screen and renewal date. Set an early reminder to evaluate it; request any eligible refund separately from cancellation, because substantial use may limit eligibility even inside seven days.

For more on when tailoring pays off, see Should You Tailor Your Resume for Each Job?.

FAQ

Is Jobright AI legit?

Yes. Its identifiable company, reported venture backing and public product listings support legitimacy. Reviews describe both useful matching and product problems. No hiring outcome is guaranteed.

Is Jobright free?

Yes. Browsing, match scores and tracking are free, per the App Store. August 2026 in-app reports also describe Orion and daily resume, autofill and outreach credits. Current limits should be checked inside the account.

How much does Jobright Turbo cost?

August 2026 reports list $17.99 weekly, $39.99 monthly and $89.98 to $89.99 quarterly. These are third-party reports, not a verified October list price. Confirm currency, taxes and renewal terms at checkout.

Does Jobright actually work?

Users report relevant matches and time savings, as well as errors and disappointing outcomes. No representative hiring or interview rate was verified. Test the free workflow for relevance and time saved.

Is Jobright safe to use?

Legitimacy does not establish security. Its policy describes AI-provider and other data disclosures. Assess extension permissions and connected accounts, proofread applications, and avoid LinkedIn activity prohibited by its User Agreement.

Does Jobright auto-apply to jobs for you?

The Agent can submit supported applications, but bot blocks trigger manual handoffs. August 2026 reports also describe access limits. Confirm current availability; the autofill extension and Agent are different features.

Can I get a refund from Jobright?

Eligible first purchases have a 7-calendar-day request window for monthly, quarterly or 6-month plans, and 24 hours for weekly plans. Usage, consumed benefits, previous refunds and misuse can limit eligibility. Accidental renewals have a 3-day window with no substantial use afterward. Missing interviews alone generally does not qualify; stronger consumer rights may apply.

How do I cancel Jobright Turbo?

Cancel through subscription management in your Jobright account, or contact support, before renewal. Cancellation stops future charges and normally takes effect at the end of the paid period, without refunding the current charge. If you bought through an app store, cancel there, because that store's rules apply.

What is Jobright's Chrome extension rating?

As of October 9, 2026, the Jobright Autofill extension has 300,000 users and a 4.9 out of 5 rating from 372 ratings in the Chrome Web Store. It was last updated October 7, 2026 (version 1.24.0). It fills job application forms; you review and submit.

Does Jobright work outside the US?

Its App Store listing says it currently lists US-based roles only. Candidates abroad targeting US roles may find it useful; someone seeking jobs located elsewhere should choose another source.

Who runs r/jobright?

Ownership and moderation were not verified. u/jobrightai replies with the company's support address in this product-focused community. Compare detailed experiences across subreddits and check for commercial interests.
